Ignacio began his journey with Muay Thai in Mexico City at the age of 7, when his mother enrolled him in his first boxing class.

In 1991, Ignacio immigrated to the United States and started training in San Francisco at Alex Wong’s Fairtex gym. Two years later, he began to compete for Fairtex. By 2012, Ignacio was training in Jiu Jitsu, and became an official trainer for TRX and Zumba. 

Ignacio has over 30 years of experience training under Muay Thai masters. He has competitively fought for Fairtex and Resistance Fitness Center in Pleasanton, CA. For the last 10 years, Ignacio has been lead trainer for a number of local Bay Area gyms. He founded KO1 Fitness in 2019, where he trains professional fighters and clients of all ages and performance levels.
